£1,300 Raised for The Rescue Hotel in 2024 Charity of the Year Initiative 23/01/2025

Adventure Travel is pleased to announce the results of its 2024 fundraising activities for Cardiff Dogs Rescue Hotel.

Each year, Adventure Travel invites both staff and customers to nominate and vote for a Welsh-based charity to be selected as the Charity of the Year. Throughout the year, employees participate in various fundraising initiatives, and one of the single-deck buses is wrapped free of charge to promote the chosen charity. The votes for the 2024 Charity of the Year were heavily weighted in favour of dogs – The 2025 Charity of the Year is also a dog charity, as voted for by Adventure Travel customers and followers.

These efforts raised a total of £1300.00 for The Rescue Hotel.

The Rescue Hotel was established in late 2019 by a small group of volunteers from Cardiff Dogs Home who aimed to enhance the facilities at the home and provide additional care for dogs in need. The Rescue Hotel also operates a health centre that offers onsite veterinary treatment for the dogs at Cardiff Dogs Home, thereby increasing their chances of finding a new home.

Mathew Acreman. Director and Trustee at The Rescue Hotel says: “We want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Adventure Travel for all the amazing support you’ve given The Rescue Hotel as your Charity of the Year. The money you’ve raised, the awareness you’ve helped spread through your charity bus and even having some of your team volunteer at the home has made a big difference to the dogs we care for. Your generosity has been amazing and we’re so grateful. Thanks for everything!”

The volunteers and employees at Rescue Hotel do an exceptional job of making sure that abandoned dogs get the best possible care. We are proud to know that our contribution is going to be put to good use. I encourage people to visit their website and check the various ways that you can support their work.”
