Operating Gower Route 14 All Week from January 2025 10/12/2024
Adventure Travel is delighted to announce that starting from January 6th, 2025, we return to operate the Monday to Saturday services on Route 14 from Swansea to Pennard. We already operate the Sunday services!
Route 14 provides vital transport links for the community it serves within Swansea City County. It offers regular and reliable access to South Gower, especially for those living in the sought-after villages of Murton, Bishopston and Pennard.
Adventure Travel, who already operate the Sunday service, will take over the Monday to Saturday services from the current operator First Cymru. The frequency of service remains unchanged, with services running from 06:55 until 22:55. Some minor changes have been made to the timetable, with some services running 5 minutes later to take into consideration the increased traffic in Swansea on Mumbles Road at certain times of the day and thus, ensure reliability.

Route 14 fares will be included in the current Adventure Travel Swansea Inner and Outer Zone tickets. Adam Keen, Managing Director for Adventure Travel says:” We are delighted to start, once again, operating Service 14 on Mondays to Saturdays starting in January. We ran the route between 2019 and May 2024, with our drivers having become very experienced with the route and its regular customers. Over the years, our drivers have built a strong rapport with the passengers, including concessionary pass holders who use the bus for important appointments/engagements. This route is the very essence of public transport, serving both rural communities and tourist areas such as the South Gower. Adventure Travel is committed to ensuring that this service is a sustainable and dependable transport link that meets the needs of everyone in these areas.”
