In late December of last year, it was announced that The Rescue Hotel would be our Charity of the Year for 2024. The Rescue Hotel was formed in late 2019 by a small group of volunteers from Cardiff Dogs Home who wanted to do their bit to help improve the facilities at the home and provide additional care to those who needed it.

 

Since then, we have been working alongside the charity to fundraise so that they can continue to deliver their valuable work in caring for and rehoming dogs across Wales. We have put on a variety of fundraising events for our staff, from bake sales to annual leave raffles, with more exciting events currently being planned for this spring.

As part of our partnership, we offered The Rescue Hotel the opportunity for free advertising on our OM150 charity bus. Over the past few months, the directors of The Rescue Hotel have been working with PrintSauce to design their vinyls for the bus. 

 

Last week, we were finally able to unveil the bus to volunteers (and dogs!) from the charity outside Cardiff City Stadium.

The volunteers expressed how pleased they were with how the vinyls turned out and said they hoped it would cheer commuters up when they spotted the happy dogs on the back of the bus. Judging by all the treats the dogs enjoyed and the zoomies had while onboard the bus, we're guessing they had a good time too!
